The influence on rheological properties of mortar

High Calcium Fly Ash

Research has shown the negative influence of raw HCFA (without grinding) added to a concrete mix on its rheological properties and workability. The activation of HCFA (by grinding) improves its properties and makes it a valuable addition to cement mortar. The results of this study have revealed that the use of cement with an addition of HCFA with the highest degree of grinding allows for mortars with lowest yield value and plastic viscosity.
